Why You Should Choose Pleated Blinds

As with all things we buy, you can go with a lower grade and lower price point, or you can dent the wallet and go for all out expensive luxury. The same goes for those of us going to make a window covering purchase for our homes. You can pick up cheap plastic blinds for five dollars a window, but you can also go to the custom sew shop and spend a thousand dollars dressing the same window. Most homeowners opt to go somewhere on the lower end of that spectrum. You can also do price comparison by shopping the best online shopping websites to find deals.

Pleated blinds can be a great alternative. They are not crazy expensive, but they are also not cheap. They can range anywhere from fifty to a few hundred dollars per window. The great thing about them is their look can play two roles, it can be the covering that provides privacy, but can also provide complimentary style to the space in which they are located. They come in many different colors, patterns, and even textures so there is defiantly a design that will be well suited for your home. If the budget allows, you can even have your pleated blinds customized with the material of your liking. If you have the options, you can go with a thermal lined backing to be places on the backside of your blinds. This will add an extra layer of insulation to your windows which can help to keep the power bill lower.

You will have other options as well. You can choose from corded pleated blinds, or you may opt for the cordless kind. Although it may seem like a big investment at first, especially if you are covering multiple windows, you will be glad you went with pleated blinds. You can even find these available for conservatories ! They will be the only think your window needs for a covering, or you can always add curtains on top to make the room even more design specific.
