Why Go With Cordless Pleated Blinds?

When searching for a set of pleated blinds, you will find many options including choices for color, fabric, thickness, lined or not, price-point, and corded and not corded. Often times, the cordless shades are pricier than the sets that come with cords. There are a couple reasons for this, all of which should be taken into consideration prior to making your purchase.

One great thing about going with the cordless set of pleated blinds is that you will not have the annoyance of dangling cords that not only look like an eyesore, but can also be hazardous if children are around the house. Many years ago, blinds were regulated and required to have safety strings with special no-choke type cords, or they are unattached at the bottom. Danger can still occur if the cords get tangled, so a great option to consider if this is a concern (which it should be around children) is to go with the types of blinds that have no cords.

All of this paired with the clean look of having no cords makes cordless blinds the right choice for almost anyone. They will look sleeker and cleaner than having the corded pleated blinds. The ease of a push and pull operation will make your blinds or shades not only attractive, but also extremely convenient for quick shade or a dapple of morning sun whenever you feel like it!

When blinds or shades have cords, it may seem to look okay when the blinds are let down, but when they are raised the string will become longer and will dangle below the window. If you ever raise corded blinds up, you know what an eyesore this can be. Sure, you can wrap the cord around the top of the window and shade brackets, but talk about unsightly. This is just another reason why you should buy your pleated blinds cordless!
